Who We Are
Principal
Adam Horowitz founded Lever Capital Partners in 2009 and built a company with a national platform dedicated to solving complex real estate transactions, not just vanilla debt. Since founding Lever Capital Partners, Mr.Horowitz has personally arranged debt, mezzanine and equity financings for some of the nation’s foremost real estate developers and owners while solidifying the firm’s relationships with key capital sources. Mr. Horowitz engineered the company’s collaborative culture which functions as a magnet for financial talent.
With 19 years of real estate financing experience, Mr. Horowitz takes point on joint venture equity transactions and spends significant time on the mezzanine debt markets and oversees the firm’s restructuring platform. Mr. Horowitz has been the president of the Real Estate Capital Alliance since 2015 and is currently on the board of the Nevada Mortgage Advisory Council. He graduated with a Masters of Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida.
Managing Director
Prior to joining Lever Capital Partners, Mr. Vanlerberghe co-founded and worked as Managing Director of a national private real estate mortgage company. Mr. Vanlerberghe has sourced, structured and originated complex capitalization facilities across a broad range of commercial property types including land development, multifamily, retail, office, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use.
He also acted as the Director of Asset Management of a real estate owned and special servicing portfolio where he was responsible for the management and disposition of over $100 million in commercial real estate loans and assets.
Mr. Vanlerberghe is a Registered Appraiser Intern in the state of Nevada. He graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. Vanlerberghe is a native of Lansing, Michigan.
Associate Director
Mr. Lewis is responsible for assisting clients with complex capital structures by securing commercial debt and equity financing for an array of property types. He has formed strong relationships with capital sources including local and national banks, life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, agencies, pension funds, and private equity firms.
Throughout Mr. Lewis’s tenure with Lever Capital Partners, he has worked to advise clients in the procurement of senior secured bridge, construction, and permanent debt, mezzanine financing, preferred and joint venture equity, as well as lender finance for various commercial real estate focused debt funds across the country.
He is a graduate of the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business where he studied finance and economics with an emphasis on commercial real estate finance. Mr. Lewis is originally from Boulder, Colorado and now resides in San Diego, CA where he enjoys surfing, fishing, and golfing in his free time.
